Entry requirements
IAU requires either evidence of an earned high school diploma, General Educational Development (GED) test, or the successful completion of 12 semester units earned at an appropriately accredited postsecondary institution or foreign equivalent. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.
- Transfer Credit (TRC): 90 units
- Standardized Exam Credit (SEC): 90 units
- Prior Experiential Learning Credit (PEL): Of the first 60 semester credits awarded a student in an undergraduate program, no more than 15 semester credits. Of the second 60 semester credits (i.e., credits 61–120) awarded a student in an undergraduate program, no more than 15 semester credits.
IAU requires students to possess computer and internet skills sufficient to effectively participate in IAU’s pedagogical model and conduct research at the undergraduate level.
Students must have the minimum auditory skill level and oral skill level needed to be successful in the ESL program, as determined by a standardized English placement exam. These tests use academic content to evaluate non-native speakers’ English skills in Listening Comprehension, Structure and Written Expression, and Reading Comprehension.
