Entry requirements
Admission to the BBA program requires proof of successful completion of secondary education (high school diploma or equivalent). Applicants may also qualify through recognized alternative credentials or transferable credits from an appropriately accredited postsecondary institution. All applications are reviewed in accordance with University of West Alabama admission standards, and certain cases may be considered individually based on academic background and supporting documents.
Advanced Placement – Previous English Language Studies
Applicants who have completed English language or ESL coursework at an accredited institution may submit official transcripts for evaluation. Eligible coursework will be reviewed according to University of West Alabama academic policies to determine appropriate placement or fulfillment of English proficiency requirements.
Advanced Placement – Standardized English Test Scores
Applicants who have taken recognized standardized English proficiency examinations , including TOEFL iBT, IELTS, Duolingo English Test, or other approved assessments , may submit official score reports for review. Scores will be evaluated in accordance with University of West Alabama admission standards to determine eligibility or placement.
Applicants must demonstrate an appropriate level of English language proficiency to successfully participate in academic studies. English proficiency may be determined through recognized standardized English assessments or placement evaluations that measure listening, reading, writing, and overall communication skills required for university-level coursework. Placement decisions are made in accordance with University of West Alabama admission standards to ensure students are academically prepared for the program.
Students are expected to possess basic computer and internet skills necessary to effectively participate in coursework, access online learning platforms, complete assignments, and conduct academic research at the undergraduate level.
