The Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting program aims to develop students’ intellectual ability through an appropriate blending of business and general education. The program assists the student in understanding and developing the unique leadership qualities required to be successful in business functions, an organizational unit, or an enterprise. The coursework provides students with a solid business foundation in the field. An emphasis is on critical thinking, decision-making, and moral-ethical behavior. The BBA-Acc degree program is designed to provide students with opportunities to explore business administration meet educational goals and enhance their career opportunities.

Few college degree programs offer the clear path to career success that is available through the AACSB-accredited Accounting bachelor’s degree program at Southern Utah University. Nearly 100 percent of our Accounting graduates are employed right after graduation and employers typically seek them out before they complete their college degree. Regardless of the state of the economy, Accounting is a virtually recession-proof career field. Graduates of the SUU Accounting program boast a pass rate above the national average on the CPA exam. Nearly half of the students enrolled in the bachelor’s of Accounting program take advantage of this fast track plan to complete their master’s degree. Yes

2. How many hours per week?

15-20 hours per course per week.

3. How many students per class?

20-30.

4. Can students fail? Can students re-sit? How many times?

Yes, students can fail, and they are permitted to re-sit – once.

5. Are there opportunities for classes to meet in person?

The university Road does not facilitate face-to-face meetings as this would be impossible due to the global make-up of the classes.

6. How are students graded?

Students will be graded on performance on assignments that can include quizzes, discussion forum submissions, papers, case studies, projects, presentations, and more.
