Research Areas
Dr. Shamsuddin Ahamad is an Associate Professor of Economics and the Director of the MBA and Executive MBA programs at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). His research spans economics and finance, with a particular focus on institutional sustainability, ESG practices, microfinance, gender diversity, corporate governance, entrepreneurship, human and intellectual capital, and poverty reduction. His work applies rigorous quantitative and empirical methodologies to global and developing-economy contexts.
In addition to his academic leadership at ULAB, Dr. Ahamad has made a strong contribution to research quality and international visibility. He has published extensively in SSCI-, ESCI-, and Scopus-indexed journals, including Q1 and Q2 outlets, with leading publishers such as Wiley, Springer, Emerald, and Taylor & Francis. He has also represented ULAB at high-value international academic conferences, including forums associated with the British Accounting Review, BAFA, and FEM.
