Research Areas
Prof. Dr. Shaheen Ahmed is a Professor of Management at the School of Business, Bangladesh Open University. His academic and research interests focus on human resource management, employee engagement and performance, labor relations, entrepreneurship development, leadership, SME performance, and socio-economic issues in developing economies, with particular emphasis on the ready-made garment (RMG) sector.
Prof. Ahmed earned his PhD in Management from Universiti Utara Malaysia, Sintok, Malaysia, in 2018. He completed his Master of Commerce (1996) and Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) (1995) from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. His academic background combines strong foundations in management education with applied research addressing workforce, organizational, and industrial challenges.
