Research Areas
Prof. Dr. Mohammad Kamal Hossain is an academic leader and researcher whose work explores the dynamic relationship between corporate governance, financial accounting, auditing practices, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and organizational performance. His research particularly examines how governance mechanisms influence shareholder value, stakeholder trust, and long-term corporate sustainability in emerging and transitional economies.
In addition, his recent research increasingly focuses on the quality of business education, with special emphasis on higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) and innovative hybrid-blended learning models, aimed at improving learning outcomes, teaching effectiveness, and graduate employability.
Prof. Hossain earned his PhD in Corporate Governance (2020) from the School of Management, Cardiff Metropolitan University, United Kingdom. His doctoral research, supervised by Professor Dr. Samuel Kamuriwo (Bayes Business School, City, University of London), examined the relationship between internal corporate governance mechanisms and shareholder value in the banking sector of Bangladesh, highlighting the mediating role of non-equity stakeholders.
