Admission to the MBA program requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or recognized equivalent, along with official transcripts. Applications are reviewed according to the University’s graduate admission standards, and individual consideration may be given based on academic background, professional experience, and supporting documents.
Completion of all courses required in the curriculum with a 3.0 quality point average (overall and in each requirement area). Any awarding of an F or D grade results in immediate dismissal from the graduate program. A maximum of two C grades is allowable; however, the awarding of a third C grade results in dismissal from the MBA program.
At least 33 (36 if BA 501 is required) semester hours within the required areas.
Students in the Master of Business Administration must complete the MFT in the final semester of coursework.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2.75 grade point average (four-point scale) or graduation from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree or higher with a minimum of 3.0 grade point average (four-point scale).
Students with a 2.75 GPA and an undergraduate business degree in Accounting, Management, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or Computer Information Systems are not required to take BA 501 Foundations of Business. Other business majors must have a “C” or higher in basic business courses in Accounting I & II, Economics I & II, Finance, and two courses in Business Statistical Analysis to avoid the BA 501 requirement.
Students who do not meet the undergraduate GPA requirement, but have a minimum GPA of 2.5 will be admitted on a conditional basis. As part of the conditional status, students will be required to take one course their first semester, BA 501, and pass it with a grade of C or higher to continue in the program.
